The Queen City of the South welcomes Bridges of Hope Cebu, a new drug rehab facility run by Bridges of Hope Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Foundation, as it opens a new branch in Mandaue City.

Cebu News Daily featured the Bridges of Hope Cebu inauguration and blessing. The event was graced by Mandaue City Vice Mayor Carlo Fortuna and Lawyer Marie dela Cerna-Teves, daughter of former Cebu governor Vicente “Tingting” dela Cerna. The dela Cerna family used to own the house which is now the cite of the Bridges of Hope Cebu facility.
The new facility is the third branch of Bridges of Hope, which has locations in Luzon, in BF Homes, Paranaque and New Manila, Quezon City. The inauguration was attended by Benjo Bernabe and Robert Ty, Directors of Bridges of Hope in Quezon City and Paranaque respectively.
The Cebu branch is one of the many rehab facilities Bridges of Hope will open in the following months as an answer to the growing demand for drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers after President Duterte’s campaign against drugs.
Bridges of Hope Cebu is located in Barangay Ibabao-Estancia in Mandaue City. The facility is fully furnished, with air-conditioned rooms. It also has a team of medical staff and rehabilitation personnel who are on duty 24/7. The facility also ensures privacy and security of the locations and the residents inside with 24/7 security.
Daughter of the former governor who used to live in the house, Lawyer Marie dela Serna-Teves, together with her husband Chemian Teves are in partnership with Bridges of Hope to open the Cebu facility to cater to the millions of Filipinos in the country who are struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Bridges of Hope, which uses Therapeutic Community modality in treating drug and alcohol addiction, is also slated to open another branch in Mindanao, as well as in Pampanga and Laguna.
Bridges of Hope provides personalized treatment programs that suit the unique needs of each resident undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Raymond Basto, Bridges of Hope Cebu Executive Director, says that residents stay from a minimum of eight months to a year depending on their progress through the program. Each resident pays Php25,000 monthly for rehab treatment, including medically supervised detox, therapy, counselling, and possible job and career assessments, depending on their needs.
