The former NBA star was found unconscious and unresponsive in the Love Ranch in Nevada, wherein he was initially found with foam on his mouth and “stuff” coming out from his nose. He allegedly consumed cocaine, alcohol, and 10 doses of herbal sexual stimulant during his stay at the brothel. He was also reported to use crack cocaine and had track marks on his arm. He was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles, where he was diagnosed with comatose and severe memory loss due to chemical damage to his brain.

Best known for his role as Spock on Star Trek, Nimoy died in February 27 at the age of 83 due to complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD developed from his smoking addiction, which he already gave up 30 years earlier. In this tweet before his death, he shares, “I quit smoking 30 years ago. Not soon enough.”

Bobbi Kristina Brown

Nearly three years after her mother, legendary singer Whitney Houston, died of accidental overdose after being found unconscious in her bath tub, Bobbi Kristina Brown was also found drowned in her bathtub. The the cause of this was kept sealed due to ongoing criminal investigation, many suspect that her January 31 drowning was caused by drugs. At age 22, daughter of Houston and Bobbi Brown died after a medically induced coma that lasted for 6 months, after which she transferred to a rehab facility, where she passed away in hospice.

Scott Weiland

It was only in April 2015 when Scott Weiland told Blabbermouth, “overcoming my addiction to heroin was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. And I’m damn proud of the fact that the time in my life when drugs were stronger than my commitment to my health is so far behind me, and always will be.” That is why it was particularly heartbreaking for fans of the former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman to hear the news that he passed away on December 3 at age 48. He was found dead on the tour bus of his band, Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts, where the cause of death was confirmed to be accidental drug overdose. Reports say Weiland took a lethal mix of cocaine, ethanol, and ecstasy. Years of substance abuse also contributed to his death, on top of substance abuse-related health issues such as asthma and cardiovascular disease.
