Bridges of Hope Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center (BH) hosts a seminar for Addiction Professionals, titled Bridging Insights for Recovery. This seminar covers UTC 8: Ethics for Addiction Professionals, and was held at MEDTek Conference Center in Paranaque City, Metro Manila, from November 21 to 23, 2016.

A comprehensive 3-day seminar, Bridging Insights for Recovery was attended by 40 participants. This comprises of BH counsellors and other addiction professionals and volunteers from other rehab centers in the country and from abroad.

The 3-day seminar is attended by the Bridges of Hope program department heads and staff from both the Paranaque and Quezon City branches. Many social workers and health professionals were also present.

UTC 8: Ethics for Addiction Professionals is a continuing education course for addiction professionals to become updated with the latest developments and updates when it comes to treating individuals with substance abuse disorders. It covers relevant ethical issues for ensuring safe and professional treatment of such individuals.

The seminar also aims to enhance skills relating to treatment of substance abuse disorders. Furthermore, this event provides an opportunity to be credentialed by ICCE, or the International Centre for Credentialing and Education of Addiction Professionals.

UTC 8, like the rest in the UTC series, is attended by treatment practitioners, social workers, drug abuse counselors, health professionals, and even recovering persons.

This is the first time that Bridges of Hope has hosted a UTC seminar, and Senior Program Director Guillermo Gomez as well as the rest of BH Executives and Program Department Staff is looking forward to host more in the future.
