Bridges of Hope Drugs and Alcohol Rehabilitation Foundation, Inc. is soon to open another facility, this time in Mandaue City, Cebu. This is to cater to the growing awareness on drugs and addiction, especially to those who are struggling with drug, alcohol, and behavioral addictions in Cebu and in neighboring provinces.
“The new facility in Cebu will treat addiction using the same Therapeutic Community approach, that has successfully helped people and families struggling with addiction in our main headquarters in BF Paranaque and our branch in Quezon City,” says BH Executive Director Jon Ty. “The upcoming facility in Cebu will still be under our direction,” he adds.
Bridges of Hope-Cebu will be headed by Raymond Basto, Chemin Teves, and Paul Yu. Eduardson Morales from Bridges of Hope-BF will be leading the Program Department as Program Director in Cebu. The facility is set to open on October 1, 2016.
The Cebu branch is located in Ibabao-Estancia, Mandaue City in Cebu, in a spacious 390-sq. meter faciltiy inside a 950-sq. meter land area. It will have many rooms and adequate space for clients or residents to stay for in-patient rehabilitation. The facility will provide a safe, secure, drug-free environment where residents can focus on their recovery and learn life skills and coping mechanisms that will help them lead sober, healthier, more positive lives.
With more and more drug users and pushers voluntarily surrendering to local authorities as part of the Duterte administration’s war on drugs, the country needs more rehabilitation centers to help these surrenderees leave behind drugs for good. Bridges of Hope answers to this call by building more and more rehabilitaiton facilities all over the country, with Cebu being one of the many more to come.
